Vision and Mission

Who We ARE

Project SPARK is a nationwide philanthropic organization that desires to elevate the lives of the poor by supporting sustainable programs that deliver affordable critical goods and services. Project SPARK is committed to a disciplined process in selecting and managing its charitable investments. As a team of professionals who are concerned with global problems such as poverty, healthcare and education, we work to raise money for a variety of sustainable projects globally, not limiting ourselves to any continent or region. We look at projects and programs which could be self-sustaining and expanded after our initial donation, thereby leading to a long-term impact independent of ongoing funding. To empower volunteers, we organize trips to project sites, where volunteers can observe and help with an initiative, using their own professional skill set.

What We’ve DONE

Over the past 4 years, Project SPARK has raised over $100,000. We have supported three separate not-for-profit organizations in education and healthcare. In order to raise money we’ve organized events including happy hours, basketball and poker tournaments, and production plays, primarily in the metro-New York City area. In addition, we have hosted 45 young professionals and executives on volunteer trips

What We’re DOING

Currently, Project SPARK is partnering with Mosaic, an organization focused on alleviating the orphan crisis in South Africa. Mosaic builds homes for families with adopted orphans, runs free schools for orphans, and offers job skills training for orphan parents. Mosaic also partners with businesses that employ orphan parents. Expecting to be self-sustaining in the future, Mosaic uses rent revenue from the houses it builds, and revenue sharing from business partnerships, to fund administrative costs.
